Enrolled Organizations
Each organization must individually confirm that we can accept donations on their behalf. Not every organization on our site has been contacted yet; if you donate to such an organization, you will see a message to that effect and your donation will be marked as pending. If the designated organization does not grant us permission to accept it, we will cancel the donation and notify you by email. We do not withdraw any funds until permission to accept the donation has been granted by the organization. View the organization agreement here.
Donation Policy
When you make a donation to an enrolled organization through The Giving Zone, we will charge your credit card within 15 minutes of the donation. For bank accounts, we process the donations once each business day; you will see your bank account charged the following business day. When we receive the funds (typically within 24 to 48 hours), we will notify you by email and allow you five days to cancel the donation. Once a week we process all eligible, non-cancelled donations and forward them to the designated organizations. The donation is normally complete within ten business days. Under some circumstances, such as bank holidays or systems problems with the financial institutions involved, the process may take slightly longer to complete. We do not hold your donations for extended periods of time.
Refund Policy
All donations can be cancelled without the transfer of funds until we begin the funding process (withdrawing the funds from the source you ask us to use). Once we begin the process, donations may still be cancelled; however, we will complete the withdrawal and then refund the money to you. This is done to prevent any attempt at fraud by a malicious user. After we receive the funds, you will have five days to cancel the donation if you desire. Depending on the timing of your cancellation and type of donation, the refund process will take from 1 to 5 business days. When the cancellation period ends, we will send the donation to your designated organization, and NO REFUND WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE GIVING ZONE. You may contact the organization directly to request a refund; we cannot do that for you.
Terms of Use
The Giving Zone Web Site is for your personal use only. You will not use The Giving Zone Web Site for any commercial purpose. You will not use The Giving Zone Web Site in any way that is unlawful, or harms The Giving Zone, its members, or any organization presented herein as determined in The Giving Zone's sole discretion. Further Terms and Conditions are contained in the Member Agreement.
Copyrights/Trademarks/Restrictions on Use
All of the pages and screens on the Site are owned by The Giving Zone and are protected by U.S. copyright laws and international treaties. The copyrighted materials on the Site include, but are not limited to, the text, design, software, images, graphics, source code, and the content on the Site. You may not copy, display, distribute, transfer, link to, reproduce, license, frame, alter, create derivative works of or republish all or any portion of the Site for any commercial or public purpose without The Giving Zone's prior written consent.
